My practice is a continuous exercise in re-engaging with my every day environment.  The subjects, obstructed windows and vents, invoke familiarity and are visuals of a transitioning space.  My work uses the moment in between, liminal moments where binary divisions of inside and outside are blurred and become uncertain.  By reducing the image into simpler visual terms without losing its identity, the paintings are condensed, becoming something recognizable and yet stranger than reality.  They are about connecting in moments of uncertainty, grounding yourself within the fluctuating boundaries of an otherworldly mundanity.
